VARANO: COMMENTS OF THE DAY AFTER
Raffaele Marciello (JD Motorsport):
"Despite the victory in race two, I am not entirely satisfied: the car was less performing in the race than in free practice and we will have to analyze the data to understand the reason of this performance drop. Luckily I started well and keeping the first position in a circuit like Varano has been relatively easy".

Patric Niederhauser (Jenzer Motorsport):
"We had already in July a very good test at Varano so i was quite confident for this race weekend.
Right from start in FP1 I drove good lap times and i continued with that in FP2. The car was nearly perfect the whole weekend long. We only changed a few things between the sessions.
After the Safety Car start i controlled the whole race in front of Negrao but i had to push till the end and to avoid every little fault.
This win is the result of hard work from the team and myself during the last months. I hope we can continue like that in the future and i'm looking forward to the next race".

Brandon Maisano (BVM-Target):
"I started very badly in race two and after the first ten laps the car was slipping a lot. Near to the end of the race I started to be fast again, I got back on to Marciello and with a lap more I could have tried an attack on him; I set the fastest lap of the race anyway and it brought me one point for the classification, therefore at the end of the weekend I lost just to points to Raffaele...".

Kevin Gilardoni (Cram Competition):
"The technical problem at the engine in qualifying unavoidably influenced the result of my races. Despite overtaking is difficult at Varano is difficult, I tried to recover some positions and I managed to bring home two points useful for the classification. I still have a bit of disappointment since in normal conditions the first two rows would have been at my reach and the weekend would have had a different unfolding. These considerations are not useful anyway: the points to be awarded are still a lot and from tomorrow on I will start thinking about Vallelunga".
